There is an abundance of opportunity.
If I stand in this point of view it has me being positive, proactive, and creative.
When I’m focused on scarcity, I’m cautious, deferring, negative, protecting what I have.
I noticed a client for 3 weeks running with a slumped posture, negative language, and a significant amount of energy going into promised actions contesting a court case against him for a few thousand pounds. His partner had advised him to cut his losses, pay it off and move on, but for whatever reason he’d dug his trench, put on a helmet, and was expending large amounts of time and energy throwing grenades back and forth.
When I introduced this theme to him and asked whether this dispute was a hill worth dying on he reflected, and then made his choice to settle the significant sum, reframe the experience as ‘life’s university’ and diverted his attention to developing himself and his business.
I can’t see the top of my own head.
Sometimes it takes an outside perspective to reflect back on to me whether really is serving me in the bigger creative picture, or competing on a lower plane.
