Distinguishing a bloody good reason to do something helps to have the discipline to follow it through.
If you are clear on your values – what’s most important to you – and you visualise the desired outcome, you create bigger picture perspective.
For example, a few years ago I thought it would be a good idea to learn touch typing. I got started and soon lost interest.
This month I have committed to learn touch typing by the end of the year.
The context being my core value of Growth (continually developing myself and others), and after 10 years experience in coaching small business owners the desire to start writing a book on 1st January 2025.
There is no maybe about this. It will happen.
And I will be touch typing by 31st December.
Do the work first on the ‘Why’ and the ‘What’, and the ‘How’ becomes much easier.
